Good jetta roof rack?
I have a 2003 vw jetta and I know these cars look really nice with roof top rack. I’m looking for something to carry my snowboard on top, preferrably under 100 dollars. Nothing permanent but easy to take on and off. There are so many online i don’t know where to start besides eBay and amazon

The factory roof rack is about the best for the car. My 2001 has the factory basic carrier bars and ski rack and looks 10 times better than those cheesy after market ones. They come up every once in a while on vwparts.com in the parts outlet section.

1997 audi a4, 2.8 quattro V6, new engine with 114,000 miles just dropped into it, has cold air intake, HID 8000K headlights, tan heated leather heated seats, Remote car starter, moon roof, alloy wheels with plenty of rubber still on them, new steering rack, new struts, car runs good just bought a newer vehicle,two things that will need to be fixed, power steering pump, and the typical audi flex pipe has a tear 50 dollar fix right there, good sticker on it

Are irrelevant.
Check the brakes, CV boots (notorious on Audis), CV Joints, transmission, Clutch (if manual). THESE are important. Who gives a rip about the moon roof if it needs a $500 brake job? Look at what matters, not what makes your pecker hard.

how much is it worth? should i buy it for 2500?

Go for it. It’s got 114,000 miles, and it should last you to atleast 150,000 miles, and those repairs shouldn’t cost you more than a few hundred dollars, I’d say it’s worth it

How can I attach a long board to my 2006 Honda Civic sedan?
I am about to puchase a surfboard (longboard style) from New Hampshire and will need a way to haul it back to Boston (suburb) and on trips to the beach. I dont have a roof rack but am looking into getting one. How could I attach it without a rack or what are some good racks and board holder systems for my 2006 Honda Civic sedan. I guess the Honda website doesnt make them for my car anymore. I’m not looking for anything too expensive and should I get a board bag? Thanks!

There are foam pads available at sporting goods stores that they market as kayak carrier kits. They come with straps that run through the car when the doors are open. I would definitely get a roof rack if you plan on using it at least once every few months.

…you went to school and saw a car packed with clothes, only enough room for the driver to get in, with big boxes and trunks stacked up three feet tall on the roof rack, and they drove it like that every day, never adding or removing any of the stuff?
