How to dry out inside of car after snowboarding and tracking in snow?
I just figured out that my roof rack will only carry 2 snowboards (fml)
I now need to put snowy snowboards inside my car and will get snowy. How do I go about keeping my nice new car clean when its going to be getting soaking wet?

I dont know about sham wow, like the guy above me. I have a rack that fits 4 boards. But i still wipe my boards with a towel before putting them on the rack. If you keep ur boards clean before putting them in the car, then you wont have any problem.
Or you can just buy a Yakima rack for like 80 bucks that fits 4 boards. More room in the car for girls and beer.

Where to find a manual to install roof rack? 03 Mazda Protege5?
I have a 2003 Protege5 and bought a factory roof rack from the same car from craigslist.com. Seller promised me the manual on how to install it, but of course did not send it to me.
Does anyone have the manual on installation, or knows where to find one online?

I’m thinking you got hosed in this deal. The Protege 5 did not have a roof rack as an accessory. It came from the factory with one or it didn’t get one. IIRC the roof panels are different for a vehicle with or with out a roof rack. Meaning there are nuts welded into the recessed areas and holes where needed. Your car will not have these provisions and this will not be an easy install. This is also why you didn’t get an installation manual and can’t find one.

So i have the old version VW Bug, you know the old school ones; i just started surfing and i want to buy a soft roof rack but im not sure it will fit because of the roof of the car that is curved.

I’m concerned about wind / vibration noise coming from the roof of my VW Toureg.?
I recently bought a 1993 VW Toureg and when I drive it over 90 mph there is a vibrating sound coming from the roof. The car has a top speed of 130. The car has a roof rack. Should I try to change the position of the rack? Currently both rails of the rack are all the way back at the rear of the car.

That is common at higher speeds. I would take the cross rails off when not in use if it really bothers you. This should get rid of the wind turbulence.

A surfboard sits on top of a car‘s roof racks (not secured).The car is traveling along a straight road , when suddenly the road curves , the car therefore needs to turn. WHat happens to the surfboard?

Z is partially correct. The aerodynamic form is important
BUT the basic process is F = MA
everything is balanced in straight and level motion
But a turn requires acceleration since the DIRECTION OF MOTION is constantly changing even though the speed is the same.
That requires a sideways force on the board to stay with the car. Otherwise the board would go straight and the car would turn from underneath it
